A trip through time at the museum

Brome-Missisquoi has a wealth of museums which, for a very low price, enable you to learn more about the history of the region. Some of the museums even have exhibits intended for children.

Free access to expositions

The network of libraries and the numerous art galleries in Brome-Missisquoi are favourite spots to admire artistic works. You can discover a host of new talent in these places, many of which often have free admission.

Courses and workshops

To further extend the experience, you can also take courses or participate in workshops with well-known artists. Here is a brief list of places and artists that offer art courses in Brome-Missisquoi.

Workshops Studio Sorge

There are a number of printmaking techniques taught at Studio Sorge: non-toxic silkscreen, photo-silkscreen, woodcut, monotypes, collagraphy and methods for combining several of these techniques.

To keep your place please send an email transfer for 50% of the cost before tax to the above email address or a cheque made out to Bernice Sorge.

Collagraphy: two days April 7 and 8 – 220$ /9h30-3h30

Monotypes: No experience. April 11th or 14th/ 80$ 9h30- 2h30

Perfecting technique days: March 10 and March 11. 9h30-13h30

Having completed a monotype workshop at Studio Sorge you may attend several days of perfecting your technique with Bernice. This will allow you to become a member. 50$ with your own ink, paper and tools; 70$ materials included, small plates. Plates can be any size if you bring your own inks, paper and plate (styrene Plates, cut to measure, for sale at studio)

Membership Studio Sorge: Membership annual fee for 2018 is 115$ Membership allows you to work at the studio and the press with other members for the regular daily fee of 20.85$

Personal projects: If you would like to work on a personal project and would like to include printmaking contact Bernice.

Atelier Galerie Dupont (workshop)

Michel Dupont is a multi-disciplinary artist who is set up in Frelighsburg. He gives drawing and printmaking courses to students at all levels of education.

Jacques Lajeunesse

Jacques Lajeunesse is an avid artist who has studied the arts in Québec and in Europe. He gives painting and drawing workshops in a charming setting, at his B& B studio in the country.
