From May 17, 2025 until March 28, 2026.
Produced by the Lac-Brome Museum, this exhibition honours the life and work of the Hon. Sydney Arthur Fisher, a local farmer and politician who served as Minister of Agriculture in Wilfrid Laurier's government from 1896 to 1911. His political career helped to get Canada, and Brome County in particular, to the global stage through displays at World's Expositions during his tenure in Parliament.
This temporary exhibition not only shares the story of the Hon. Mr. Fisher's life, but also profiles on six of the World's Expositions where Brome County was present. By touring the exhibition, visitors are able to temporarily visit London, Chicago, Paris, Osaka, St. Louis, and New Zealand, and hear more about how Brome County made a difference in how Canada was seen by the world.
