Historian, consultant and speaker living in Brome-Missisquoi, Laurent holds a master’s degree in history and a journalism diploma from l’Université de Montréal. Since 2010 and under the banner of « Historien sans Frontière » (historian without borders), he has actively promotedcultural heritage and history appreciation in the Eastern Townships. Backed by his expertise in historical research, Laurent offers his speaking services to various cultural and public organisations.
As part of the French language Elderhostel program at l’Université de Sherbrooke, Laurent teaches a course in the History of the Eastern Townships. Contributing to the revision of the MRC Brome-Missisquoi Cultural Policy is another way in which Laurent has promoted local heritage as a major tourism vector in the region’s economic development.
