Musée Bruck Museum

Located at 225, rue Principale in Cowansville, the Bruck Museum invites you to discover the amazing cultural heritage of Cowansville and its region through the Bruck-Lee Collection, established in 1956 by the Art Center of Cowansville and featuring several paintings from the Beaver Hall Group, including a painting by Alexander Y. Jackson, a founding member of The Group of Seven. The collection also includes works by several artists of the Beaver Hall Group such as Prudence Heward, Anne Savage, Nora Collyer et Sarah Robertson. The Lee-Vermeille Collection, established by sponsorship in 2009, adds a contemporary component featuring more recent sculptures and paintings. Built in 1874 as a branch of the Eastern Townships Bank, this remarkable Second Empire style building is in itself well worth a visit. The Museum also presents a regular program of visual arts exhibitions featuring artists from the region and elsewhere in Quebec. Since 2017, the Museum is developing a showcase for contemporary textile arts in order to promote the textile industry's heritage of Cowansville and the region. Opening hours : all year, from Thursday to Saturday, from 12 am to 4 pm; from June 24 to September 3, daily, from 10 am to 5 pm.
